Dinner, traffic, movie theater, foreplay.... The first few times I brought it up she laughed it off and when I pressed a little harder she accused me of being selfish and needy.
It seems I have 3 choices, here:
1. Accept the phone as a third party in our relationship
2. Expect her to change
3. Walk away
Looking around at the zombified Khmer population around me, I can't imagine I'm alone in this predicament...#1 is a no-go for me and I'm curious if anyone here has had success with #2 (e.g., maybe all it takes is a frank talk about cultural differences regarding phone etiquette? Conscious boundary-setting?) Or are my expectations unrealistic?
Bring in #4: Your phone/laptop. Take care you are typing around like mad-man and it'll bring you status.
Status is far more important than 1:1 communication. It makes her more important in the eyes of the spectators, when she is on the phone and you are "desperately" waiting for her attention.
