"Would you put down the damn phone already?"
"Would you put down the damn phone already?"
So I'm in the early stages of seeing a new Khmer woman and things are great except that the amount of time she spends on social media is slowly driving me crazy. Dinner, traffic, movie theater, foreplay.... The first few times I brought it up she laughed it off and when I pressed a little harder she accused me of being selfish and needy.
It seems I have 3 choices, here:
1. Accept the phone as a third party in our relationship
2. Expect her to change
3. Walk away
Looking around at the zombified Khmer population around me, I can't imagine I'm alone in this predicament...#1 is a no-go for me and I'm curious if anyone here has had success with #2 (e.g., maybe all it takes is a frank talk about cultural differences regarding phone etiquette? Conscious boundary-setting?) Or are my expectations unrealistic?

just face reality, you are boring crap, why do you think there are so many BG just waiting to take your money
WARNING: this post is not intended for the mentally impaired perhaps search for the chicken's post and read them instead. thanks.
Why would you put up with that ? Fuck her off, typical Khmer selfishness.
Don't worry help is at hand, get her to a therapist ASAP

Phones are great when dating Khmer women. It makes the dinnertime silence less awkward, since you don't have common language or common interests.

I hope we never get to the point where Cambodian women complain about white guys who spend 11 hours a day on their laptops posting sarcastic comments on discussion forums.LexusSchmexus wrote:Dump her and look for another, simple really. I didn't let girls like that past the second date.

I doubt she's tweeting, but this is poignant.

Yes, a phenomena particularly unique to Khmers. The frivolous use of smartphones is unknown throughout the rest of the world.Marinaris wrote:Khmer resort to their smartphone when they're bored ...
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
