Bangkok by night bus
Bangkok by night bus
Has anyone done the night bus trip? How was it? I might have to go over to do some shopping on the cheap,
i've taken that bus. it's worth it only if you're looking for an adventure or if you've got a massive haul of goods to transport across the border. the trip is long, involves an ugly border crossing, and lots of dirt and dust on the way. it takes a whole day. the flight is well worth the extra cash if you've got it.
Ken,
You should know better............are the horrible bus crashes at night you read about not enough to put you off the idea? Fly, or break the trip up with a stop or two along the way. By the time you get there, I doubt you will save any money over flying.

+1
The roads are deadly at night.
I just checked.
Air Asia is about $150 R/T plus baggage.
The flight out is at 5pm so you can get a whole days work in which will pay for the flight over and it comes back late afternoon allowing additional shopping time.
Leaving Next Thurs night and coming back on Tues afternoon it is only $114 plus baggage.
Note to self: Must be nice to morons.

If he's this concerned about price maybe he's taking the girlfriend and kids.

If he's taking his family, even more reason not to take what sounds like a horrible bus trip.

I've just booked PP to Bangkok on AirAsia for 3 of us in Mid June. Just over $300 all in. Bangkok Air was over $600 unfortunately as I much prefer flying with them. The bus is a dangerous waste of time. Fly man!
