Leaving Melbourne I got stung flying Air Asia with overweight carry on,
It was a small bag but was 3 kilo overweight and it cost me $118.00 and had to transfer my carry on into checked in luggage,
The prick at the counter was having a wonderful day being an arse hole to everyone,
Staff at the other check in counters just looked at me and rolled their eyes as if to say sorry.
Air Asia
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

I'm an AirAsia fanboy but was none too pleased on a recent trip back from Indonesia where the airport scales claimed my carry on was two kilos over what I knew the weight to be. I'm not sure who is responsible for calibrating airport scales and how often that duty is performed, but if you lined up at that particular check-in counter that day you would have been stung for excess baggage you didn't have.
Who is responsible for check-in scale calibration? The airport, local aviation authority or airline?

Not a fan your self, obviously.
Before AirAsia started flying into Australia we were subjected to ridiculous airfare prices to get into Asia. AirAsia brought prices down to very affordable levels so that people like myself who were going back and forth regularly weren't being charged a fortune any longer. Unashamedly an AirAsia fanboy. Take AirAsia out of the South East Asian airline landscape and I think you'd find prices increase considerably throughout the region.

I approve of their hiring policy, it might be a budget airline, but the stewardesses can be seriously stunning at times.
