Sokha Group don't run the ticket concession anymore, the Royal Government took control of it in 2015. Two dollars from each ticket will go to the Kantha Bopha Children’s Hospital, which provides free treatment to Cambodian children.
Other places near enough to the capital that are worth visiting are Phnom Chisor with its 11th century ruins and great views, Phnom Tamao is ok too and there are some nearby temples at Tonle Bati. I believe there's an ancient tower at Phnom Tamao too but I've never seen it.
