Hi,
Does anyone know rough cost of a taxi from the border at Poipet to Battambong city? Price for a seat in a shared car and price for entire vehicle would be good.
Thanks.

It used to be a tenner a few years ago, maybe 15 for a front seat (Barang prices). Last time we took a whole car, I think it was 35. This was a while back, but the price shouldn't go up too much.

Tenner sounds right it was between $20-$25 for a seat in a private taxi from Poipet to PP a year ago.
depends a bit on how many people they will put of a seat. I'd say 8-15 USD depending on your language skills. Lower for the back seat, higher for the front if not willing to share it (15 USD).slavedog wrote:Hi,

I paid 10,000 riel for a seat. A Thai woman paid 70THB to go half way.

How much to go all the way with the Thai lady?
yes and if you decide to share a minivan or taxi.. be prepared.. if you are unlucky you will have chickens and motorbikes on your lap.. and also other men sometimes..
But some story about 2011 The last time I did poipet-battambang I was extremely unlucky had an extreme dangerous driver. also they stuffed about 12 people in the minivan.. and they stopped all the time and than moved on driving very crazy..
Now it is improved a lot but back in the day.. they were all standing on that square just across the border in Poipet together with beggers and pickpocketers.. and it was like a cartel. you could not leave that square!!
The second you stepped foot in cambodia you were harrased like hell!! That was actually the honest truth of how it is here but now they learned more and try to hide it..
