I will go to Cambodia with my private car (TH plate numbers) and the internat. Transport permit. Cross border at Kap Choeng/Osmach. I would like to come back to TH at the Koh Kong /Had Lek border. But I was told you have to go back at the same border you entered Cambodia. Does anybody have more information about this? Thank you in advance ...

If you leave at a different crossing like Koh Kong expect to pay a service charge.

The customs official actually told me thailand would not let my car back in
ONLY Koh Kong charges you to enter ( O'smach does not) 100 baht/day

Thank you Phuket 2006.
5$ - no problem ...But a friend of mine was forced to pay 100 $ at Koh Kong!
Otherwise he would have to drive back to Osmach ....
I tried to contact Reinhold Trippmacher (Company name "Overcross" or anything about this). He got last year all the necessary documents to cross from Pakse Laos to Stung Treng at PHN (about 80$) - until today no answer.
Wait and see ...

Once you have done everything to get into Laos leaving at Nong Nok Khiene is easy enough if you avoid lunch time . You will be paying extra both offices and the Khmer side are in no hurry.
There is a restaurant just before the border.

I'm sure there's info somewhere around here readily available, but this seemed as good a thread to ask on as any.
What are the requirements the other way around - to drive my car into Thailand (Koh Kong) for a few days, and then return. Do I need pre approval of any tax documents, etc?
