I forgot to answer your question on the negatives of Oz, sorry.RainMan wrote:Like
Just about everybody I know even the Aussies in Cambodia and those living in Oz said " why , you won't like it " " beers are expensive, hotels are too" plus other similar comments.
I also realise that after doing a fair amount of biking n camping in Thailand n Malaysia that I don't enjoy the biking or the camping if I have to do both. It is bloody hard work: you cycle a long way over 6 hours of riding, you search for somewhere to camp which ain't always so easy, you set up tent cook dinner, wash up, try to sleep, wake up , cook breakfast, wash up, decamp and wait for any moisture to dry out before packing up and cycling again, not to forget buying food, looking for a place to have a shit and hopefully a decent wash, usually a petrol station. Don't mind the camping if it is at a proper site or next to a restaurant on the beach, but in Oz it would be everyday and by the sides of roads and in parking areas as campsites there charge around ten dollars or more just to camp! I am lazy n stingy.
