So, I'm planning on moving to cambodia. I play online poker for a living but I recently read the new laws regarding work permits and the visa extention situation. What would be the best solution for me since I plan on staying 1+ years. I read that it's possible to extend the EB visa for 3 months without a work permit. Is it true? I won't mind if I have to extend it every 3months as long as I don't have to provide any work permit since I'll not be working there.
Can someone help? Thanks

Get an ordinary visa (in advance or on arrival) then extend it for 6 months under the "EG" looking for work category (no work permit or other documents required). That gives you effectively 7 months in the country. Then do a visa run to Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, wherever you fancy for a day or two, come back and repeat. There is no limit on the number of EG extensions at this point in time, just that you have to do a visa run in between, as is the case in Thailand and Vietnam for similar visa types.Localh0st wrote:So, I'm planning on moving to cambodia. ^ This is currently the most accurate advice
and no, you cannot get a 3 month EB EOS without the relevant supporting documentation anymore.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

The last "poker Pro" that I recall killed himself in prison after trying to burn the rotting corpse of the Vietnamese hooker that he had killed days earlier.Localh0st wrote:So, I'm planning on moving to cambodia.
