kiosk
Anybody been heading out lately noticed if Air Asia has self check in kiosks in Pochentong now? Looking to duck the check in lines.

I checked in online and got my electronic boarding pass last week. Of course the guy scanning boarding passes at the escalator couldn't scan it so I had to go line up anyway to get the paper boarding pass.

It would be nice if they got their act together one day. I just went through Singapore two weeks back and you can hardly see the check in counters for the army of self check in kiosks.
Yep, even if you check-in online you still have to present yourself to the check-in counter. It doesn't take that long to check in, it's not exactly a super busy airport.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

The most annoying thing is that they close checkin an hour early. Seeing as you can get through immigration and security in 5 mins, it would be nice to be able to check in online and then not be rushed wish the counter closing.PSD_Kiwi wrote:Yep, even if you check-in online you still have to present yourself to the check-in counter. When PP gets them it will be by far the most painless airport experience there is.PSD_Kiwi wrote:No, there are no self check-in kiosks at Pochentong.
An hour early? Can't say I've noticed that before...running late for a recent flight I "checked-in" (had already checked-in online) half an hour before the flight was due to depart, Bangkok Airways.Miguelito wrote:The most annoying thing is that they close checkin an hour early. I don't understand this online check in bollocks. Flying back from Stansted last week, the queue for the counters marked online check in was much longer than the regular queue. In fact there was no queue, we just walked up to the counter and....... checked in.

We had the opposite experience last year flying back from France with Turkish airlines. The queue was one of the longest I’ve seen, but we just walked up with no problem with the online check in. So, I aways do it just in case.slavedog wrote:I don't understand this online check in bollocks. Would be nice with kiosks.
I always try and pick the shortest line, but end up behind some folks with some sort of issue, taking 5-10min.
Just my luck, sometimes.

Choose the lane closest to the business class check in, as they’ll siphon off passangers when that lane is empty.newnewnewbie wrote:Would be nice with kiosks.
