Anyone been?
I have a customer there and it is proving quite difficult to ship stuff there. So am thinking a little trip might be in order.
Is it worth going? Anything much to do there?
Guam
It's one of those places you have to trans ship to several times to get goods delivered.
A bit like some of the outer islands of the Philippines.
What are you trying to send ?
Perishable or non perishable goods ?.
Is it small enough to air freight ? or is it LCL volume ?.

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

It's a small order, non perishable.
The value of the the order will not cover the cost of flying, but that's ok. It just gives me a nice excuse for a jolly.

Interesting. Don't like the idea of them coming up through the khazi. I'll request a high floor hotel room.

I have been there!
Not a big island. There are some beaches, lots of overpriced hotels. Small main town and the base.
One thing of interesting note is that they have a very successful Kmart there - seriously, I believe its the most profitable Kmart in the entire chain (yes, I know that is not saying much). Its actually fairly pleasant to drive around a bit. There is a small mall there as well.
You'll have American favorites like IHOP, various steak outlets, Pizza Hut, McD's, etc.
Lots of Japanese tourists. If you don't like the beach/water there really isn't a heck of a lot to do there.
Enjoy!

Thanks Twiceayear for the info.
To be honest, having looked in to it and discovering how difficult it will be to get there, I'm hoping to not go.
Are the girls very pretty, just out of interest?

Aren't there a squillion horny US servicemen there? I'd imagine they're quite busy.
Good point. And I'm sure we are all familiar with the song:
Me no likey British sailor
Yankee pay 5 dollars more
Yankee tapping on my window
British breaking down the door
Yankee takes my clothes off slowly
British rip them to the floor
Yankee make love to me slowly
British rape me like a whore
Me no likey British sailor
Yankee pay 5 dollars more
