Not a beautiful country?
Not a beautiful country?
Whenever people talk about a country, someone will jump in and mention what a beautiful country it is.
Yea, nature is beautiful. So what country cannot be defended on the “beautiful” scale? Hell, even homophobic little sharia law Brunei is supposedly a little slice of natural wonder. I’m even told Canada has its own redeeming qualities.

I heard that Bangladesh and Pakistan are even worse shitholes than Sihanoukville. I would defer to Gavinmac for a more comprehensive reply.
Canada can be gorgeous, especially around Vancouver or Vancouver island.RiverRat wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 10:54 pmWhenever people talk about a country, someone will jump in and mention what a beautiful country it is.

The people might make parts of those countries shitholes, but I’d imagine the Karakoram range is stunning, and Bangladesh has picturesque rice farming villages and Cox’s bazar is one of the longest beaches in the world.
Perhaps an African country like Sudan, if desert’s not your thing.
Sudan is still beautiful, as is South Sudan, but yes dangerous.
Corby, Stevenage, Slough and Tipperary town are all shit holes but it doesn’t reflect their countries beauty.
I’m sure Anthony Bourdain would have have said something about it.

Kampot sunsets at the river are scenic, colorful, serene, but probably soon for the Chinese only.
When I first got to SHV (2014) I thought “What in the name of fuck have I done!”
Really smelly, sewerage running down the street, garbage everywhere, noisy shit hole dump. With constant noise 24/7 - dogs, motos, car horns, ice machines cutting at 4am, people talking VERY LOUDLY, KTV noise etc.
I must have missed the “Peaceful idyllic paradise” that’s often quoted by the media and imbeciles on FB.
I can’t imagine it was any nicer 10 or 15 years ago.
It was certainly never Koh Samui like back in the 90s. At least that place had some sort of order and sanity.
Cambodia. How I love you so!

The shithole to rule all shitholes.
Then they added religious nutters and Trump.

The west coast of rural Ireland is one baayuuteeful place. Gardens of houses are all perfectly manicured. No rubbish on the streets. No random shit happening.
People seem isolated and lonely in their pristine houses and gardens in places.
There is also beauty in chaos perhaps?
But anyway, Cambodia is a shithole, and no place for old men. Get out while you can or die at 55.
The statistics dont lie.

Excuse my outburst. I drove 4 hours to the nearest Ikea store in Dublin this morning and have been dragged around the place for 6 and a half fucking hours and am almost losing the will to live.
6.5 fucking hours in Ikea ffs. Madness.
Cambodia vs Ikea. Which do you choose?
Ikea is like Disneyland for 2 South East Asian chicks i swear.
The Ikea store has arrows on the floor to help guide you, whereas Cambodia has chickens running around the floor tripping you up.
Got a 4 hr drive back on relaxing pristine roads.
Is that Ikea wine on the Ikea shelves alcoholic?
This is what happens when you move to barangland. Days off are spent 6....call it 7 hours in pristine fucking Ikea.
At least they bought me swedish meatballs and chips to pacify me i guess.
