Hello evereyone, I'm a student from germany and get my bachelors degree this july in urban and spatial planning. Afterwards I want to do an internship abroad in cambodia (in case I get a scholarship I've already applied for). So does anyone know where I can search for an internship for the duration of 6 months in the urban and spatial planning segment ? (it should start around december this year) I would be very grateful for any hints and advices benjio

You want to learn planning from Cambodians? In any case, you could contact the ministry of urban planning. Start by redisigning, uh no, designing their car park.

Do GTZ work with urban planning in Cambodia? If they do then that is hilarious.

Start here Ken, and keep googling. I've met them. http://www.giz.de/themen/en/11786.htm

Correct Raendl, I scratched my head, and I've been mistaking DED for GTZ.

thanks so far for the replies but does anyone know a ngo except the giz? the reason is that one of the scholarship's conditions is, that the employer of the internship is not the giz (because the scholarship is by the giz)

Wouldn't they help u find a suitable option here? Or is that also against the conditions somehow?

I would just like to remind everyone here, that GTZ is indeed now GIZ, and is properly pronounced as "jizz". Thus, the GIZ support project to the Ministry of Planning is known as "GIZ-MOP". This has been a pubic service message.

Ewww... Not sure I'd want to volunteer for a jizz mop. To each their own.

There's still a lengthy application process. I won't let just anyone be my jizz mop and you've got to compete against the girls from WA. If you're clean, that's bonus points.
