Best Drug Store in Phnom Penh?
There used to be this great drug store with a french name, something like Pharmacie de la Gaire? Is it still around? They had ear plugs which were very handy for wedding music blasting at 5am and you could actually trust the medicine there. If it isn't still around, is there someplace else like it now? Thanks!
The Pharmacy de la Gare has an online presence if you need contact information, location map, or opening hours:

Ignorance and Arrogance don't mate, they checkmate. They call the outcome a straight jack.

You are seriously comparing that bunch of cowboys at Pharmacie Angkorchey by Psah Cha to Pharmacie de la Gare?straight jacked wrote:

108, on the corner, last before you get to the river. You get everything there, at reasonable prices.

Pharmacie de la Gare is still the go to spot for foreigners who can't find stuff anywhere else. But the local Pharmacie scene is improving dramatically.
Missus was sick for a day, so I went around to the local pharmacies. All the people behind the counter spoke passable English, had knowledge of what I was looking for. Expectorant, Decongestant, multi-symptom pills. Explained the ingredients in the various medicines, and their purpose and effect. Bought exactly what I was wanting.
Granted this was pharmacies in the heart of foreigner land, street 49-51 near Central Market. The quality of the local Pharmacie may vary in your neighborhood.

Don't worry, be happy.
