I was wondering, how does one manage to look smart in Cambodia?Previously I found the moto-dop look, with long-sleeved check shirt (not tucked in), long trousers, sun hat etc. perfectly suited the climate.
However as I will be working this time what would be appropriate?I have found the heat hard work, and if I wear a white shirt its gonna show the sweat. What about suits?Do people there wear them much outside air-conditioned areas,do they wear linen suits? What kind of shoe do you find suits the heat best, any advice would be much appreciated.

Hmmm
Work= 100% cotton, short sleeved Ralph Lauren knockoffs bought at Psah Thmei for $3 each, 6 at a time, every 6 months. After that they turn limp.
Plus tailored trousers from Mr Singh of Bangkok. Two pairs made to measure. Black cotton socks and black leather shoes. No tie.
Pleasure. Faded denim Paul Smith and Diesel (original) jeans. Cotton cream Paul Smith jeans (until fucked up by a Thai laundry), canvas lose trousers for the steamy season.
Short sleaved cotton shirts usually sent from home or bought from Cerruti in Bangkok.
T-shirts (usually Paul Smith, YSL or Carthart) sent from home every few months and bought at sale time.
Late night, t-shirts usually worn with beer or curry stains.
Footware. Sandals (without socks) sometimes. More often, differing pairs of adidas/nike old school trainers

This thread should be "How Does Crispen Manage To Look So Bloody Good In Cambodia".
The secret is I have been blessed with an incredible sense of style as well as James Bond looks and demeanor.
You’ve got it or you don’t. I have. Also quite I’m modest too.
If world war three happened tomorrow only two things would be left cockroaches and my side parting.
I’d make a body bag look good

At one school I had to wear a tie.
Eventually I stopped because the classrooms didn’t have air-con and I was just to hot until I was told that in the befitting in the image of the establishment I had to wear one. My comment was I this school should be befitting of it’s own image that it tried to project and have aircon in the classrooms instead of the small, hot, singled fan rooms designed for twenty students but them cramming in 30 plus.
That didn’t go down very well.
