I second Crispens comment about the Billabong.
Although I have not stayed there (only had lunch), Glenn showed me throught he rooms the day before opening. I believe that it is great value if a few dollars here or there do not matter....for $35 its a great room. I have friends who choose to stay there.
cheers,
LaudJohn

Which is the best in Phnom Penh
• For interesting conversation – The Peace Café
• For interesting company – DV8
• For interesting food (non rice) – The Cantina
• For cheap beer – any Khmer beer garden, damn it they are 75% the same
• For the surliest of surly Frenchmen – Le mousssissssissiian Snack Bar (don’t care enough about it to find the correct spelling)
• For laughing at stupidly dressed aging sex tourists – Walkabout (post midnight)
• For rotting dolphin carcase – the Ministry of Fish

My cold cleared up a few days ago, it STINKS.
Thankfully I have Wed/Thur/Fri off work for the second of the three New Years celebrated here
Five days with no work and a town full of bars...

The Flamingo looks quite nice from their web site, though they could use the services of a good English teacher, especially during 'brackfast.'
However, since the web site says they opened just this year (2005), I suppose no one has any experience with them yet.
Could anyone comment on the location?
