Howdey,,
Just wondering if there is place in PP that has a modern mini lab, such as a Fuji Frontier, or lightjet.
If so, any idea what the prices are like?
Thanks..
Mark
Photo printing in PP
From what I've heard, results vary a great deal.
It has been suggested by many photographers to save your stuff for Bangkok, where the labs have more consistant results.
I'm going to try to bring a black-and-white enlarger & chemicals from Bangkok for archival quality prints. Does anyone know how to find out if this will bring me grief at customs?

Hi Dr... yes I have high standards, I used to work in a pro-lab but I adjust my expectations to whats possible, and to the reality of the people who buy my shots.Dr Disco wrote:I've heard the same goes with digital with regard to printing at labs with consistant results. I don't know if it's true or not. I'm sure some place must be ok, but I've been told otherwise. Judging by the quality of your photographs, I'm sure that you have high standards for printing.
In Hanoi, I found a print lab, and stuck with them. It took time but eventually i got what I needed, and became good friends with the owner.

You are better of waiting until you come to Cambodia.baggygravy wrote:I've got a question. Perhaps a little bit off topic, but...
I have a Minolta Dynax (Maxxum) 5. Unfortunately it's just gone up the kibosh, some kind of circuit board malfunction. I'm in the UK for another couple of weeks, not enough time to send it back to the manufacturer as they recommended and get it back in time. Does anyone know if it'll be repairable in Cambodia? Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and get it sent out?
Buy travel insurace, and claim it has stolen 3 weeks after being here. Get a new camera sent out.
Been there, done that, easy.
