Here is the place to post any simple or complex questions you may have about any aspect of life in Cambodia and beyond without fear of being told 'That question has been asked 100 times before.'

Wouldn't it be more accurate to think that there are plenty of Cambodian 'expats' equivalent to the 'Pattaya trash', and conversely, that there are plenty of Pattaya 'expats' which are the same as people on this board? Do people even forget that PP and Snooky are full of seedy, whoremongering types? Do people forget that there must be over 100,000 expats in Pattaya, many of whom would be normal people leading normal lives?
Someone needs to start some assertiveness training in Cambodia, maybe. Deal with the obvious insecurity that resides deep within many of those who post (and who don't) on this board. Try not to sigh at the people who need to put others down in order to build themselves up. it is easier for a person to feel good about themselves if they lower the "competition" a notch or two. These poor folk know not what they do. Think of them as fragile children, lost to the world. Beaten on by life, and currently without the ability to recognise and address their flaws.

Working in a bank, factory, studio. oh, wait.... If a new member of 440 asks a question on this section of the forum, please answer the question with accurate information if and when you can.
If you are not able to help with a good answer then instead of giving a smart arse, piss taking reply, simply stay off the thread. Thanks.
Yes, yes, line up girls, and show the new clients your talents! Pffft, will the meistro ever distance himself from whores and whoring?

Me, for starters. What are you on about? Several "veterans" have links to their own webpages or use their real names, and we all make it more than obvious where we hang out. We post a lot of that stuff PUBLICLY that you would only share in secret to people that fit 2 criteria: 1) you think they are a good person, and 2) you trust them. Who's the one "hiding" again? I'm not sure what you're implying in the least.

He does take this attitude, mate: "Life is too important to take seriously."
It's a bit of a laugh, probably (surely) with no offence meant. At times, people might take what he posts the wrong way. Just as they might whatever you or I might post. People bring different angles to this forum, which is one of the reasons why I like it so much.
Sure, there are some more 'serious' threads, asking for information and so on. Perhaps they deserve more 'seriousness'. Then again, there are some ridiculous threads which invite ridicule.
Long live diversity.

GK1 wrote:'small minded'. I rest my case. Cambod, you should take a look at your own comments from a different perspective. Just ask yourself these questions: Do they help? Rarely. Are they funny? To you obviously and to some, perhaps. Analyse your attitude, post something useful and change your handle to Dumbod and people might respect you more.
I'm sorry.

This brings an important question to mind: Is 'arsed' really correct following 'smart'? Does the writer actually mean, 'arse', as in posterior or hind-parts, or is he really meaning to say, 'ass', as in the Biblical animal, e.g., 'smart assed'? I mean, I fully understand the British usage, as in 'arsehole', but 'smart arse' just seems wrong. One doesn't act like an arse, does one? Rather, one acts like a braying ass, doesn't one? I relish these fine-pointed intellectual pursuits vis-a-vis the differences between our common languages. And Cambod cracks me up. But I am an ass.

Revbo, here, Is there a section or topic board post spot were a newbie can give a short intro of himself. Thus taking a short cut to finding common ground or possible friendships with the more experienced members of the forum that could provide some advice or tips to the newbie like myself, and keep me from reinventing the wheel per say or making some stupid mistakes? For myself, if i was an old hand at this forum, i might find it interesting when a greenhorn arrived. thx, "get herr don"

That thread was really going somewhere, no need for a humour Forum on here, it's all good.
