Anyone know if thin kerf blades, usually used for cutting stainless steel, are available in PP. And of course where?

I'm not sure what they are and a search showed what look like circular saw blades to me.The uncle does a lot of fabrication (inventing and making insane machines) so I'll ask him later if you describe them a bit better or post a picture.

The normal blades for cutting steel are abrasive composite with a thickness of 2.8 mm. These are thinner so cut a lot quicker as they dont have to remove as much material or kerf.

Available anywhere.
If in doubt about hardware shops go to the makita shop on mao tse tung, great shop.
They have american C clamps for $7.50 that cost nearly $40 in australia.
The shop is on mao tse tung on the right as you come from the river just past the chinese embassy.
