Not from Cambodia.
Whilst Khmer men have very many virtues, good taste in footwear is not one of them. I've no wish to be seen in a pair of ridiculously oversized, metre long black shoes with square ends that curl up like turkish slippers.
I believe that footwear suitable for the well dressed western gent can be found over the border in Thailand. Particularly in the shopping malls of Bangkok.

You can find some great second hand (good condition and bad) shoes on the 2nd (or 3rd) level of Orressy Market.Mac wrote:Where do you buy your shoes?
There are some really coolones sometimes..its just a matter of spending the time to look. Even though Ive got size 12 feet, I once found a funky pair of Cons there.
Yeah - most Khmer men wear 'clown' shoes with their suits
Actually you can get some smart looking loafer-style soft leather shoes imported from Thailand at the shopping centre part of the new Pencil Riverside Superstore. There are planty of shops to choose from on the ground floor - you just need to browse for ones that suit you. They are a little expensive there compared to elsewhere in PP - I think they wanted $25 for the pair I bought but I bartered them down to $20.
Don't expect them to be that high quality though - although all that is needed from time to time to keep them looking smart is a new inner-sole (from one of the shoe shine guys) and a periodic splattering of leather glue at the ends.
Cheers.
