today may be the day....
smart phone time.
i love my old Nokia.... had the same one for years.

but..... i find myself needing to stay "linked up" and i am getting tired (and a bit worried) about having to drag the Mac with me everyday. you know... job site dust... moto crash... police see all my pictures of Gary Glitter..... when he was young.
need a smart phone phone.
Android platform..

somewhat tough...
Hell me K440..... you're my only hope.

I was wondering when you'd join the 21st century (kidding, I only got my smart phone six months ago). Seriously though, I sounds lam but they really are amazing and given your line of work you'll wonder how you ever managed without one. Only downside is that I slowly turned into what I hated: one of those losers who is constantly opening their phone to check stuff. When I went back west, all my buddies were barely talking to each other at times: just a circle of people sitting at a table looking at their phones. And now I sit at bars doing the same... /facepalm

I just sold my Samsung Galaxy S2 for $290 back to a shop and it still has over 6 months of warranty left.long in the tooth wrote:under 3.cambod wrote:How much cash are you willing to part with?
That was a good phone. I reckon they can be had for ABOUT 3.
They also have a small Samsung on display at many places that is about $2-300 and it looks nice. Don't remember the model number.
Sets.

You can pick up a Galaxy S3 for $540 nowdays, I know it's a bit over budget, but a very nice phone to be honest. I found that lower spec Samsung's seem to be a bit sluggish and frustrating - particularly the dual SIM DuoS thing, horrible phone.

I am holding out for the new nexus 4..
Always found the lack of a layer of manufacturer UI on the nexus models a much nicer setup.

The Nexus 4 sounds like a great deal ($300 for the 16 GB model), but he wants something a little more durable.RielLove wrote:I am holding out for the new nexus 4..

The back of the Nexus 4 is made of glass! ! ! ! That's just crazy.
Also, it has no slot for external memory, so I'd never own it.
