My two boys have destroyed the remote for my microlab speakers. I found it smashed to bits in a plant pot outside the house.
Nearly all the controls are on the remote so the speakers are useless without it.
I'm thinking that a universal remote could be the solution.
Has anyone seen such a thing for sale here?
Thanks in advance.

Phnom Penh Electric on Monivong. However there's no guarantee they'll work for your speakers unless you can program it via your old remote. They are generally universal TV remotes.
Had a stroll round Orousei market. They only have universal tv remotes. None of the vendors seemed to think these would work with my Microlab speakers.
Having a closer look at the speakers, there is an input select button. But this button doesn't work, which was never a problem when I had the remote. So, the other option would be to get the input select button fixed.
Does anyone know somewhere that might be able to do this? (if not, I think these speakers are for the skip!).

Sadly, it won't control the universe. Blatant mis-advertising.

Thanks DV8. I don't have the required IR feature on my current phone. But will probably be upgrading soon so will try and get one that has it. These old speakers may just live to speak another day yet.
