Translation Service for Official Documents
Translation Service for Official Documents
Hello Friends.
I'm just trying to find a company or business that translates official documents from Khmer into English. The immigration officer in NZ told me that it can either be a translation company, or an embassy, but as NZ does not have an embassy in Phnom Penh, I'm looking for the first option.
Any leads and recommendations would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men.
Pyramid and GO translation are the go-to companies for the French embassy.

This place is good, they have a notary that can translate and stamp official documents.

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Pyramid translation. Accepted by most foreign embassies. NZ immigration accepted all translations from there when we were applying for a tourist visa.
Will depend on what you're getting translated though, for example, if you're applying for NZ citizenship of a child born to NZ parents overseas, then translation of Cambodian birth certificates must come from the DIA's citizenship office's approved translation service, for Khmer they get the translation through an Australian company.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

Hear ya Mate. Going through similar processes. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know.
You can go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs they can do it.
I highly doubt the MoFA offer official translation services to individuals.Jessy101 wrote:You can go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs they can do it.

Actually its' the only official source for translations in Cambodia, and they will do it for individuals, at roughly the same price as Pyramid. But only selected documents.PSD_Kiwi wrote:I highly doubt the MoFA offer official translation services to individuals.Jessy101 wrote:You can go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs they can do it.
Look at the small sentence places like Pyramid print under each each translation and you'll know.
I stand corrected! Sorry Jessy for doubting you.Kachang wrote:Actually its' the only official source for translations in Cambodia, and they will do it for individuals, at roughly the same price as Pyramid. When submitting documents to the MoFA last year, I was told that I had to get English docs translated to Khmer from an outside provider, not once did they offer the service, which is odd because according to you they would've made money from doing it themselves. But like you said, only selected documents obviously
I just read the small print under a translation from Pyramid, and it says "Unofficial Translation".

I used Go a couple times last year. Fast and I remember they were way cheaper than pyramid, up to 50% cheaper
How much do GO and Pyramid each charge to translate a simple one page document like a birth certificate or police clearance certificate?
