Cashed a couple of red ones just last week. Stop pissing off the shop owners;-)Lucky Lucan wrote:Good point, they change the print color and style every now and then. For example the new Cambodia beer ones are "pear" shaped and blue.Steve Zodiac wrote:Are they the old red ones? in which case you're too late. Blue is this seasons colour.

I average 2 winners a day (out of an average of 10 cans), sometimes 3 and on occasion 4! I save them 'til I have 24 and exchange them for a new carton. Never had a problem changing them in this quantity at the place I buy them from, which is a medium sized mum and dad store across the road from me. Never been charged extra anywhere except if I want the option to get more ring pull tops instead of press tops, then 500r per can. Angkor changed from red to green about 2 months ago, but I still get a mixture of each every day. Again - no problems exchanging them.
They never accept the rings when I try to cash them anywhere. I give them to the girlfriend who has no problems.

The ring must still be connected to the tab with the winning message on. They'll exchange them for regular cans as previously mentioned.
On a side note, I don't usually buy Anchor cans, but grabbed 2 from the orange coolerbox at my local store last night. The lady said, "Anchor Singapore, 2700rl each." It just struck me as an unusual thing to say!

I've been told there are 2 kinds of Anchor, 1 from Cambodia and 1 from Singapore, the latter is more expensive.the_purple_turtle wrote:The ring must still be connected to the tab with the winning message on. They'll exchange them for regular cans as previously mentioned.

Had the same experience, at a drink shop buying a case for the in-laws. Price was too high, and when I told the clerk so, she said that it was "Anchor Singapore" and she fetched me an identical case that was "Cambodian" and cheaper. I figured that she was just trying her luck with me.Jaap N. wrote:I've been told there are 2 kinds of Anchor, 1 from Cambodia and 1 from Singapore, the latter is more expensive.the_purple_turtle wrote:The ring must still be connected to the tab with the winning message on. I often see locals at the beer shop specifically asking for Anchor Singapore when buying cases and they cost a little more than the locally made one.the_purple_turtle wrote:The ring must still be connected to the tab with the winning message on. Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Anchor is brewed both in Singapore and Cambodia, have a look on the side of the cans or on the box to see, I can't taste any difference between the two. Some places charge extra for the cans brewed in Singas, but not all do.
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

I won two prizes on Cambodia beer a couple of days ago. One is a power pack for a mobile phone, and the other is a helmet.
They also have cash and jackets. Maybe more.
You have to go to the main office to get it, but they told me to wait till the end of the month when the supplies come in.
And then there are still the free beers you can win.
