Hello,
I have a Cambodian moto license. I am planning to buy a moto in HCMC and ride to Hanoi. I'll be on a three month, multiple entry visa, so I can apply for a VN license, but time is tight so I'd rather not wait if it is not necessary. Does anyone know if VN recognizes Cambodian moto licenses?
Thank you.

I would like you to expand on that. Vietnam dies NOT recognize any license including international licenses.YaTingPom wrote:Yes.

I am afraid the days when whitey was not stopped are long gone. Some places now put up road blocks targeting foreigners.LexusSchmexus wrote:No one ever stops you. Only issue is if you crash and your insurance knows you weren't riding legally, but that's part of the risk anyways. Ride away.

It has become a little racket. Not here in Chau Doc where I reside at the moment (and where the coppers know me) but I know that around Mui Ne, Nha Trang, Da Nang and of course the cities a lot of people get pulled. If you stay cool, it will just cost a little unofficial money.LexusSchmexus wrote:Fair enough. My experience is a bit dated. Even in the countryside?
