Rather than start a new thread, I wonder if someone could give me a rough guide to land prices out of Phnom Penh along the Tonle Sap, northerly, towards Oudong? I'm talking river frontage in a rice growing area, where the land floods each year. Also, land in a similar area that is not prone to annual flooding?
@ Pedro's
Those doors prices are a gigantic rip off,
Over 500 for the door and 300 just for door frames what the hell.
I bought doors like that with door frames for 200$ all inclusive. I don't know if you used some Uber expensive wood but that was really too much for interior doors. I could have had very good looking high security doors including installation for not even 200$ each.

Plus if you could read, that's 3 interior doors + 1 double front door (5 doors), with frames total $1510, which divided by 5 = $302

Ok that makes sense. I thought you paid over 800 each for the interior doors. Which was very high.
In my defense

it isn't so obvious that 510 was for several doors not each.pedros wrote: Wood door front -$700

I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.
Pedros, what type of septic system did you install? Or are you connected to a sewerage system.
I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

A very bad Khmer septic tank system, whatever they say make it at least 3x bigger. The only real problem I've had, it ain't pleasant.

God those Khmer doors are ugly, just like that furniture. I am surprised that no one has set up a factory to produce steel door frames. A couple of West Australians took an old press to Malaysia many years ago and made a fortune.
Thailand has good cheap flush panel doors and routed entry doors. A six panel routed MDF entry door in Australia is about $300 I think. It won't shrink, twist or warp or delaminate for 30 years at least.

I don't know if they're produced in Cambodia, but they are being sold here. The home we recently bought is fitted with 7 of those frames/doors. The doors itself are also made of steel and have pretty sturdy (looking) locks.crazyjohn wrote:God those Khmer doors are ugly, just like that furniture.
