Bulk dry oats?
I buy ON, costs $62 for 5 lbs. They give loyalty points which shave about 5% off, free delivery. That's 100% whey protein. That muscle milk and some of the others are bad. One I threw out after a couple of scoops, the gas was so severe.
Ok, I go by a couple of places during the day that sell it. I'll see if it's cheaper. Never tried muscle milk ....just whey and creatine.rgrowden wrote:I buy ON, costs $62 for 5 lbs. I tried the muscle milk once; Bayon handles different brands, even vegan, but the prices are horrendous. I read that muscle milk had some nasty ingredients in it. Anyway, like you, I stick to whey and creatine, plus caffeine. I read a week or so ago, a guy on Bodybuilder.com recommended a banana and coffee as pre-workout. I started doing that - works great. For the post-workout I go with the whey, soymilk, oatmeal, cinnnamon. Here's a tip: I use turmeric and pepper in tomato juice, cinnamon in all my protein shakes, and ginger in green tea. Every day. One litre of the tea, 1/2 litre of tomato juice, and cinnamon 3 times a day. These are anti-inflammatories, keep the cells from stressing. A passion of mine - turning back the biological clock. So far so good.
Cinnamon in a decent clean whey isolate is fantastic- I do exactly the same

I seen 1kg bags of dried oats in the new Lucky Premium at Exchange Square (same building as the Hard Rock Cafe on the second floor.). They had an out of stock sticker that somebody must have forgotten to take off of their label so I couldn't see the price but I think it was somewhere in the 20,000 riel range as there was only a 2 visible. They had a lot of higher quality stuff there as compared to regular lucky. I'll be back there.
What are your thoughts on Bromelain for a daily anti inflammatory? Also, where do you order your protein from? Or do you know somewhere in PP that carries it?rgrowden wrote:I tried the muscle milk once; Bayon handles different brands, even vegan, but the prices are horrendous. Interesting; I hadn't heard of it. I prefer using the fruit or vegetable, instead of a derivative made from them. Also, bromelian and turmeric both thin the blood, so I wouldn't take them together without ensuring that they wouldn't have a synergistic effect.
I get protein powder and creatine from this company in PP. I recommend.

Never tried cinnamon much, but I will now. Green tea I like, but tomato juice turns my stomach. Yes, I make banana and coffee with protein as a post workout...I'll try as a pre.rgrowden wrote:I tried the muscle milk once; Bayon handles different brands, even vegan, but the prices are horrendous. Thai Huot on St. 63 also now has pure carrot juice, 1 1/2 litre, about $3.70. I do 250ml. every day when I can find it. Turns the skin orange, especially the palms of one's hands. Noticeable, but also effective against the sun. Turmeric is the main seasoning in Indian curries, so I have daal once or twice a week.
