If you seriously think you are in trouble with your landlord then you are in for a whole world of pain in Cambodia .
... Unless the maid is a family member of the landlord, in which case make sure someone will supply you with food and money in Prey Sar or leave the country.
Next time think with the big head OK?

My first instinct was to just sweep it under the rug and hope it goes away but I don't think that is possible. There is a nosey elderly man across the hall who likes to rumor and gossip and I believe he already knows what happened. He has lived here for years and knows the owner well so I am sure it is just a matter of time before he finds out. She SEEMS like a nice girl and I would hate to see her lose her job.
My question is, should I just lay low and see if everything is cool or man up with the owner and admit what I did and promise it will never happen again? If he decides to kick me out I would really hate to be scrambling around for expensive accommodation while I look for cheaper long-term accommodation. My budget is very tight.
I'm from the USA and this is my first time abroad. I'm in a wild and corrupt country like Cambodia so I'm a bit paranoid.
I'm not the type of person to hold someone else accountable for any advice they may give me that might go wrong. I'm just in a very anxious and paranoid state of mind and have been taking a few Valiums to try and calm down. I stopped drinking over 2 years ago so that is definitely a no-no.
ANY help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for giving some of the best replies in this thread. I already felt like shit and some of these assholes made me feel even worse. Of course I should have known better, this is Khmer440 after all.

Best reason for breaking a tenancy contract though dude. Way better than Ned Kelly's.
Massive stalker
Can't imagine why you would want to tell your landlord about your trifling peccadillo. You just banged the maid, what's it to do with him?

Sport, you are making a mountain out of a molehill.
And an inconsequential one at that.
Cancel the meeting with the landlord.
Just forget it happened and get on with your life.
You are being a precious drama queen.

Accepance
Consideration
Capacity to contract.
Performance
It was a contractural arrangement.
Crying rape in this situation is basically grounds for a breach of contract lawsuit. It's not as if he promised her the world.
