Best florist in Phnom Penh?
Looking for a florist that offers good quality bouquets at a reasonable price. Reliable delivery would be good too.
Any recommendations? Or is it better (and cheaper) to go to Psar Tmei and see a flower seller there?
Thanks for the help.

I think the ones at Psar Thmey do a great job for the price. The ones who face street 130 the second one in is the best in my opinion.
There is one next to Aquarius Hotel on 240, I for get the name Pkha something who are good for something a bit higher end and therefore cost. It depends what you want them for.

Phase Thmey for me; but I’ve not had any funerals to go to for a while

Cambodian chicks don't want flowers. Flowers die in a week. They want stuff they can use or possess or sell.

Buy them a bouquet of CauliFlower, then they can cook you lunch.gavinmac wrote:Cambodian chicks don't want flowers. Flowers die in a week. They want stuff they can use or possess or sell.

Flowers seem like a more universally accepted gesture of thanks than a cash gift or expensive item, don't they?gavinmac wrote:Cambodian chicks don't want flowers. Flowers die in a week. They want stuff they can use or possess or sell.
It's not a romantic gesture.

I think the only time I’ve seen them given and received with genuine thanks is at university graduation ceremonies.the_purple_turtle wrote:Flowers seem like a more universally accepted gesture of thanks than a cash gift or expensive item, don't they?gavinmac wrote:Cambodian chicks don't want flowers. Interesting. I've never been to any uni graduation ceremonies here, but I have seen plenty of bouquets given as birthday gifts.
Since looking for a florist I've also discovered several thriving businesses, many around Bkk1. Someone has to be buying all these flowers?!?!?!
Edit to say your "received with genuine thanks" is probably a very important factor. Maybe all these floral gifts are unwanted after all.
Who doesn't love an envelope full of notes...

Jesus dude, who mentioned chicks? He could be have been buying them for a funeral or a party or anything!gavinmac wrote:Cambodian chicks don't want flowers. Flowers die in a week. They want stuff they can use or possess or sell.
Anyway, as a gift I recommend getting a money tree (Guiana Chestnut), they are small kind of bonsai tree (?) that are trained as they grow into a knot. They vary in cost, maybe $20 small and $40 bigger, and a nice pot shouldn't cost more than a few dollars because they aren't big. They are very lucky and will be appreciated.
It'll probably die in a few years, or it could grow huge.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Well are the flowers for your Bargirl LBFM or your wife?gavinmac wrote:Cambodian chicks don't want flowers. Flowers die in a week. They want stuff they can use or possess or sell.
All women like flowers. It's universal.
Anyone who doesn't like Capitalism is a pathetic loser. God bless the USA and no place else.
I would 100% suggest Apsara Fresh Flowers Shop, I live nearby and Im always seeing them getting a shipment of fresh flowers every single day. I'd say if your looking for roses or orchids there good for, although they might not speak good English, message me if you get into any problems .
