That seems like somewhat of an oxymoron to me, sherry and its cousin port are both foul brews that should be consigned to the dustbin of history.Playboy wrote:decent sherry

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
So with what do you toast the queen if not a snifter of sherry?Lucky Lucan wrote:That seems like somewhat of an oxymoron to me, sherry and its cousin port are both foul brews that should be consigned to the dustbin of history.Playboy wrote:decent sherry

I took 2 legs of lamb and 3 bottles of NZ 42 below feijoa Vodka thru. They inspected it. and they didn't want a piece of it. Ok it was my bro-in -law doing the inspection, showing the junior's his dinner tonight. true story.
I'm not suggestion favouritism, but its not a big deal. They really don't care, Tell them its for a Wedding. Sweet as.

Yes, not long ago Red Apron had some heavily discounted Apostoles Palo Cortado and Matusalem Oloroso.Hanno wrote:Celliers d'Asie can't help?Playboy wrote:It is nigh on impossible to get decent sherry here
And Lucky Drink Shop had a few cases of Tio Pepe - not that LPB considers it decent - but imo lucky we can get it here.
I once snapped up the last bottle of Marsala in Cambodia and was glad I did as there was no more for about ten years.
Yes, and now we have Bacardi Breezers, flavoured vodkas, mochaccinos and strawberry martinis - the grotesque infantilisation of taste.Lucky Lucan wrote:That seems like somewhat of an oxymoron to me, sherry and its cousin port are both foul brews that should be consigned to the dustbin of history.Playboy wrote:decent sherry
FFS I just saw in Bayon that Moet are marketing a Champagne to be served over ice.

I saw the Great Duke has a champagne brunch for $51. If it’s actually champagne and not prosecco that would be quite the steal.MaxB wrote:Yes, and now we have Bacardi Breezers, flavoured vodkas, mochaccinos and strawberry martinis - the grotesque infantilisation of taste.Lucky Lucan wrote:That seems like somewhat of an oxymoron to me, sherry and its cousin port are both foul brews that should be consigned to the dustbin of history.Playboy wrote:decent sherry

Mezcal 2 worm Tequila is 75% cheaper in Cambodia than New Zealand. The genuine product. TAX and no Tax.
Might check that out if we don't do the hash tomorrow...Miguelito wrote:I saw the Great Duke has a champagne brunch for $51. FWIW Red Apron have some on 50% discount now.slavedog wrote: ↑Fri Jun 01, 2018 3:14 pmI doubt there's much wine cheaper overseas. Only reason would be to bring something unusual that's not available here. I occasionally bring decent sherry that's hard to find hereHanno wrote:When I worked in a hotel in Siem Reap, Aussie wines were cheaper than in Australia.violet wrote:Wine can be cheaper overseas. And alcohol you make yourself definitely is. Just saying
Apostoles, Matusalem are around $35, Alfonso oloroso about $10.
