Alcohol through Cambodia airport customs
What's the most amount of alcohol you have brought into Cambodia in your checked in luggage. Use coded language in your replies so as not to alert authorities to illicit activities, which may result in stricter bag checks.
Oh, what am I saying? Authorities, like everyone else, all read TOF now. We can say whatever we like here.

A few years back a couple of 6packs of Guinness. Although like Hanno, I don’t quite see the point.
What are you bringing in Violet, Poteen?
The only thing I would bring in is stuff you can’t get here. It’s so cheap here the savings must be extremely minimal.

When I worked in a hotel in Siem Reap, Aussie wines were cheaper than in Australia.violet wrote:Wine can be cheaper overseas. And alcohol you make yourself definitely is. Just saying

I doubt there's much wine cheaper overseas. Only reason would be to bring something unusual that's not available here. I occasionally bring decent sherry that's hard to find hereHanno wrote:When I worked in a hotel in Siem Reap, Aussie wines were cheaper than in Australia.violet wrote:Wine can be cheaper overseas. Yes yes, we get it, you like to make comments about TOF. Congrats for mentioning it a 100th time and still not even being clever.violet wrote:What's the most amount of alcohol you have brought into Cambodia in your checked in luggage. As for the question, I had some mates visit with a cooler of 36 pints of IPA for me.
I also had a mate bring about 30 bottles of wine from here in and through the HCMC airport.

I've taken 3 or 4 bottles through many times. Never been searched. But they have had an x-ray machine at the ext more than before. Once I think I had three bottles and a random 12 mingler pack of my fav craft brews to share with friend. I figured I would just say they were gifts, don't know what they would do if they found it?

Lol. I'm not trying to be clever. I do get a slight elevation in mood when poking at you though. Think of me just paying forward the repetitive digs directed my way by another.Miguelito wrote:Yes yes, we get it, you like to make comments about TOF. Thanks for the input guys.
I haven't had Sherry in ages. I may have to consider that.

I guess they would 'confiscate' it.kansaicanuck wrote:I've taken 3 or 4 bottles through many times. Never been searched. But they have had an x-ray machine at the ext more than before. I had a 40 ouncer which I offered to crack and share a drink with the authorities when I came to switch the bag that I took that was not mine, for the one that was. They were hesitant to just hand me over the bag, so I had offered a description of its contents to them. He politely declined citing being at work and unable to drink, but never said a word about the alcohol and I was on my way.
Please don't throw me in that briar patch!
What do the French know about sherry?Hanno wrote:Celliers d'Asie can't help?Playboy wrote:It is nigh on impossible to get decent sherry here
