this one is regarding a childs Visa.
so.... i have a 1 year EB visa that is good until September. at that time i will apply for my Retirement Visa that I qualify for.
my 7 year old son has a 1 year EI visa that expires in July. prior to that he was getting the "free" child visas.
i am now being told i might need to get a work permit (even though i do not work) or have a Retirement Visa in order to get the 1 year extension for our son.
the visa service that i have been using for the past 10 years told me to go into immigration to ask them what i should do.
any one here have information regarding this?
thanks
yet another Visa question...

I refuse to go out with nothing more than a whimper followed by a small farting sound and a shit stain on my bed sheets..
Just thought I'd share that with you.

Assuming you stay in Kampot I recommend you to visit the immigration police (Polis Antou Broveh) in Kampot, and ask if you can see the head over there. The DOI has been providing workshops to local department chiefs so you might have a chance he (usually it's a he...) is ( more or less) well informed. If not, you can go to the DOI opposite the airport in Phnom Penh. In Phnom Penh the guy speaks more or less decent English, but maybe a translator will come in handy. In Kampot I assume it has all to be talked through in Khmer.Kampot Homesteader wrote:this one is regarding a childs Visa.

You will need to have a valid visa EOS in order for your child to also have one. Why are your expiry dates different? And I'm assuming by the fact your kid needs a Visa he doesn't have a Cambodian parent.
Your child can obtain the ES (student) EOS, no supporting documentation is required if under 18. 1,3,6,12 month options are available.

Scoffer is demented sometimes. You may have to pay the back work permit fees while being on the EB, then transfer to an ER when eligible.Kampot Homesteader wrote:huh?scoffer wrote:FFS BSC you are a pathetic sook when you don't get the attention you think you deserve.

You'll only be charged retroactive work permit fees for years in Country on an E-type (prior to Sept 2016)/ EB (Since Sept 2016) EOS without a WP if you actually apply for a WP.
@Kampothomesteader...I have given you the solution to your issue...get a short term ES (student) EOS for your son. When you apply for the 12 mth ER EOS for yourself, then apply for a 12 mth ES EOS for your son.
