They do not get that large in Cambodia, however Tokays are common (though the Chinese will quickly see to that) and they can grow to over a foot long.RainMan wrote:I did and yep, gecko crap looks like mouse shit. Really like the little lizards, imagine having a tongue so long you can use it to clean your eyes
Didn't know they can grow to 2 ft.
Save the gecko.

I love the Tokay, so good they named it twice , one lives on the in-laws bathroom wall (outside of course). A little unnerving being that close the first time but they are beautiful creatures. Apparently they are lucky to the Khmer too, which I assume is the reason they haven't eaten it.Hanno wrote:They do not get that large in Cambodia, however Tokays are common (though the Chinese will quickly see to that) and they can grow to over a foot long.RainMan wrote:I did and yep, gecko crap looks like mouse shit. I have a resident gecko at home in Aus, easily a foot long, great bug catcher, there's a large one at Golden Butterfly Villa SR (about 10 inches+) in the dinning area, the staff take real good care of it.ReasonstobefearfulP3 wrote:I love the Tokay, so good they named it twice , one lives on the in-laws bathroom wall (outside of course). I don't know if the small Common House Geckos can lick their eyes, but they certainly don't grow to 2 ft long. The biggest ones here are Tokay Geckos, they can grow to about 15 inches.RainMan wrote:I did and yep, gecko crap looks like mouse shit. I think LL meant Geckos in general. Most Gecko species, including Asian House Gecko, lick their eyes as they have no eye lids. The 2-foot Gecko is extinct, the largest extant Gecko is the New Caledonian Giant Gecko:

Gecko poo is a vital ingredient in a Chelsea bun (not a lot of people know that).

They crap on the upper parts of interior walls in places no mouse could ever reach. There's quite a bit on the upper corner of my bathroom that I must get around to cleaning. I've got a bathroom I never use upstairs and birds come in through the ventilation bricks and build nests there. I don't mind but they leave a lot of twigs and feathers and crap there sometimes.

Nah, I don't get mosquitoes, mice or cockroaches, I quite like having lizards and birds around.Hanno wrote:Maybe you just need to move.Lucky Lucan wrote:They crap on the upper parts of interior walls in places no mouse could ever reach.
