Ear plugs
Where can I find some? There's a pharmacy near Olympic Market that has them, but they cost six bucks for six pieces of foam! That may me par for the course here, though, I've noticed that dental floss is pretty expensive as well........

Get a group deal, try the Russian market area, they are used to foreigners looking for bargains, Olympic is mostly locals, I think.

Never mind.
If you want them for noise reduction you can get a set of Sony WF-1000X Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones from Sokly Phone for only $229 http://soklyphone.com/product/sony-wf-1 ... eadphones/

The reviews aren't great for these and the specs say 3 hours use on a 40-minute charge. Suddenly $6 for some foam earplugs doesn't seem so bad. IIRC the last ones I bought in U-Care were $2 a pair. Definitely getting ripped off here in the Kingdom of you have to Wonder when you can buy 60 pairs on Amazon for $13.Mèo Đen wrote:If you want them for noise reduction you can get a set of Sony WF-1000X Wireless Noise-Canceling Headphones from Sokly Phone for only $229 http://soklyphone.com/product/sony-wf-1 ... eadphones/

I appreciate all of the replies, but I was a little taken aback by the post about the ones that cost "only" 229 USD. I'm griping about two bucks a pair......
It all balances out in the end, though; 25 cents for a pack of smokes, huge plate of rice, eggs, pork, salad and tea for a dollar....and the list goes on.....

If you keep your ears clean, it's not a problem. I bought two pair in Mexico City in 2011 and used them until I lost them earlier this year.

I do not agree that you are looking to buy the foam earplugs. Foam and generic earplugs won't work as customers need.johntpartee wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 5:09 amWhere can I find some? Foam and generic earplugs block all the sounds and it won't fit to your ears because they are not custom made.
You only get the perfect fit earplugs when you buy to provide your impression.
I bought custom earplugs before and it will work perfectly before I was using the foam earplugs but it was not good and never worked perfectly as needed.

Well, here again, you get what you pay for. Those $6.70/3 pair of foam ones from Ucare are Quies brand. What you pay for is decibel reduction - the higher the number, the quieter they are. I'm wearing them now. The dB reduction is 35, the highest I've found. Quies also makes a long-term use type, made of wax, 27dB reduction. They can be worn for a few days in a row. The scale, btw, is exponential. A reduction of 1 dB is actually a 10 power reduction. So check out the dB on those cheapies.
