Some websites are saying you can get a 6 month EG visa if you’re looking for work when you enter Cambodia.
They say you can’t get one if you’ve been in the country for a long time but what about if you’ve not visited the country in years.
But do have a few EB visas somewhere in passport.
Doesn’t anyone know answer to this thanks?

You get a normal visa on entry NOT A TOURIST VISA then you can get an EG visa no problem. 6 months max. Multiple entry but you have to leave the country when it expires.

it is my understanding that if you enter on an ordinary visa you can extend it for 6 months. Then you can go somewhere else and return and start the process over again. I get the 6 months visa but I am not looking for work here. Usually I just want residency so I am able to apply for visas to other countries. Recently I was offered a position in China teaching so I simply want to have the residency so I am able to apply for Visas in Cambodia rather than have to return to the USA, Believe me China is much more pleasant and lucrative to work in than Cambodia or Thailand. Plus the language is more valuable. Besides language, in China, there are no tuk-tuk drivers harassing me, the sidewalks have enough room for me to walk on without me having to walk into the streets, and i do not have to worry about protests during election time. Because there are no elections in China.
Yes, no problem.
EG (General) Extensions of stay are available for 1, 3 & 6 months. The kicker is that you need to leave the country when it expires as you cannot apply for subsequent EG EOS in country.

I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

YES, I've been here long term but I applied for an EG last year when all of the weird visa extension shit was going on. I was going to be out of the country for a good few months so it make Financial sense anyways. Didn't matter how many previous 1 year extensions I had.PSD_Kiwi wrote:Yes, no problem.

I know of a few people who have been successful at switching from EG to EB in-country but for most people yes, they have to leave and re-enter the country once the EG has ran out.

What are the odds of me getting another retirement EOS after my current one runs out early November and I arrive late Nov. I know I will initially need a one month on arrival. Before I did as most and just kept extending my E visa but no more. The current one is my first retirement EOS.

Having already been issued an ER has no bearing on a new EOS, especially an edited one.johnny lightning wrote:What are the odds of me getting another retirement EOS after my current one runs out early November and I arrive late Nov. Just apply like you did last year, you’ll need a letter proving income and saying you won’t be a burden.
Join the FB visa page, but watch out for the Kiwi moderator who’s slowly about to blow his top from the same repetitive questions. Apparently he was seen sobbing into a tin of Watties beans whilst cradling an AR15 some days back.
