Surprisingly the options aren't as plentiful as one might think.Savage wrote:Anybody know a good Thai restaurant in PP?
Popular ones include Mama Thai, Tom Yum Kung, and my personal favorite for a quick but very good lunch, Yosaya Thai (which has two locations now, but I haven't been to the second yet).
There are also a few Khmer/Thai places, such as Khmer Surin (good with visiting guests, but don't stay too late or you might see some rats about and scare your guests).

I think Savage is more interested in Thai places with Thai cooks that serve great Thai food.

No, he is not exclusively interested or even more interested in those places. Just as long as they serve good Thai food.Jep wrote:I think Savage is more interested in Thai places with Thai cooks that serve great Thai food.

I never understood why a Khmer never did Thai street food. So many Khmers must work in hospitality and learn how to cook Thai food yet no food stalls anywhere. My Khmer family like hot Thai food and I cook a lot of it. We have the super hot chilli bush just outside the door.
One thing they do like is mango and sticky rice, too sweet.
That Tom Yang Kung was a pretty good place I thought as was the old Boat Noodle.

+1 for Yosaya Thai. Also haven't been to the new location, but the original one just south Sihanouk is great.
Because they prefer Khmer street food!crazyjohn wrote:I never understood why a Khmer never did Thai street food.
