At what age do you propose to stop having sex because it's just not done without a long-sleeved shirt and a tie?
I'm over 60, I'm young compared to some on here, but if you think sex is limited to young people and a regular bi-weekly schedule, you're sad.
Do you not pour the last tot from the bottle?
Eat the last morsel of steak?
What's the problem?
Hasta la vista, baby! [/quote]
Well said.

Or do they pop some pills which do the trick?

Not saying anything wrong with that either.

A bloody annoying term. How can one thing have two completely different meanings? Twice a week or every two weeks. The non-Ametucans among us solve that by using fortnightly to mean every two weeks. Many Americans are unfamiliar with what a fortnight is. They probably know what fortnite is though.

I think it’s a video game? Haven’t played and don’t own a gaming system but I’ve seen reference to it on other forums before.

Some of us do have a vocabulary, even though there are many things that have vastly different meanings depending on context, and many words mean different things in different languages, or in the same language, sort of, depending on region or nationality. And yes, bi-weekly is a pain. What is even worse are some languages that have words with different meanings depending on inflection.

I think bi-annual is similar. Though I think Brits would normally say 6 monthly.violet wrote:A bloody annoying term. How can one thing have two completely different meanings? My uncle died whilst engaging in sexual intercourse. He was 76, and used Viagra. The funeral was a dagg~~the coffin lid had to be custom made for obvious reasons.

No, we'd use biannual to mean twice a year, and biennial to mean once every two years.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:I think bi-annual is similar. Well at least I’ve got something to look forward too in my dotage. If I live that long.

Back at M.I.T, I sometimes converted my units of acceleration to furlongs per fortnight squared. (and the firkin for units of mass).violet wrote:A bloody annoying term.
