Non Cambodia links. Anything you want to share.

Believe it or not, there is a whole other world outside of Cambodia, be it people or politics, frustrations or football, this is the place to talk about it.

And then came the moment that I was dreading.

"And how was everything for you, madam?"

In my mind I calculated the time that it would take for me to reach the exit before the inevitable occurred, but Usain Bolt would have been hard-pressed to have risen from his chair before the onslaught arrived. I merely gripped the edge of the table and waited.

"I'll tell you, dear. The f*****g sausages looked like a set of shrivelled old dosser's c***s, but without the piquant flavour. The mashed potato had the consistency of some f*****g thing that had spent a week passing through the chef's digestive system before s*****g it onto the f*****g plate and the gravy had the flavour of month-old s***k that he'd stored up in his b******s and w****d all over the plate whilst imagining Margaret Thatcher, naked, f*****g a goat, and mixed up with some f*****g wallpaper paste before p*****g in it. Also it it was a very small portion."

"Well, you ate it."

"It was better than what I would've got at home, dear. Now get me the f*****g dessert menu."

We are now barred from that pub.

American media joined Mexico in blocking coverage of the biggest protests in Mexican history. The protests resulted from election fraud in Mexico and even YouTube blocked video coverage of the protests in the USA and UK. I may be late pointing to this but I feel that it's better to be late and still share the information. Welcome to the age of computer voting, where entire elections can be changed with the sweep of an algorithm or a script -- and if the net can be blocked from publishing the truth, well… Sigh.

What do you mean about American media block? CNN covered it... I don't know how widely covered it was; I'm only in the US for two weeks and haven't been paying much attention to the news, but I definitely saw this story on CNN and Google News has been showing headlines. I'm not a huge fan of the media here, but I'm also confused by your statement. Do you have a source for more information? Thank you!

Hello Matty. I think that the three pictures are recent political demonstrations in Cairo, Montreal and Mexico City. I think the point the author was trying to make is that these kinds of political displays (where people are demanding true and basic human rights) are not isolated events. There is an old saying that it is hard to oppress an educated populace. As the people of the world use the internet to learn more about each other -- and interact with one another lending a helping hand sometimes as they do at the k440 -- we lose our fear of one another and we take the good from one another and work to one day leave out the bad. There is a real human need being shown in these events in which human beings are demanding basic liberties and rights. My belief is that is what we are seeing around the world. The media has largely quit showing these events but the internet has become far bigger than any TV network, magazine or newspaper. Bless the internet and the hope that it can be to the world's peoples.

Bullshit, the Internet is lowering the bar as most stoops go with populist shite. Any asshat can blog about what is "truth", which is why I stick to lowbrow humor, because there in honesty in it.
