Believe it or not, there is a whole other world outside of Cambodia, be it people or politics, frustrations or football, this is the place to talk about it.
A few years ago, my Aunt's phone broke, she told my 17 year old cousin to go in the basement and get the spare phone, which they had not used in years. He came back perplexed, there was no phone, he protested.
The kid had never seen a rotary phone in his life!
Cambod, these are what phones used to look like, when I was a kid.
I randomly lived in Zimbabwe for a summer when I was a kid and the village I lived in still used an operator. So, if an incoming call came for somebody, all the phones would ring, and u could pick it up even if it want for u and listen in, lol.....

I still remember my granny's phone number on the Scottish island where she lived: 7.

People who steal from banks get jail. Banks who steal from people get bonuses. You gotta love capitalism!
My parents had a kick ass music collection, so I never had to buy much...then a little song came out sometime in the mid 70s that sent me scampering down to the local record store to pick up a copy of A Night at the Opera by Queen...Bohemian Rhapsody was so...different, it had me mesmerized.
==================== Why are the gods such vicious cunts? Where is the god of tits and wine?

Some 7th-Day Adventist Uni campus. I also got to go see the "operator's" switch room where she routed calls or something. That's where we had to go to make calls back to the States.
My first record purchase was a 45 RPM with Hey Jude on one side and Revolution on the other. The "Hey Jude" side had a green apple on the label, while the other side showed the center cut inside view of the apple. I don't remember if all Apple Records were labeled that way at that time or not.
