Just because gun ownership is in the constitution doesn't make it right in this day and age. Times have changed, the constitution should change. Sick to the teeth of reading arguments about why people need to have guns, for self defence, for sport, blah, blah ... they don't. The military and police, sure, that's their job and 99.99% of the time they do it well (yes, there are still nutcases in those organisations too).

And yes, even if you ban guns, people will still kill people - we've been doing it since day 1. Why, however, make it even easier for somebody to kill a large number of people in one go? Ok, this nut job would still have taken a knife or home-made bomb to kill people - but hundreds of bullets; the only thing that stopped this guy killing more is that he was a tool and couldn't work out how to clear a jam.

You can't stop people killing people, but you can make it a lot harder for somebody to kill a LOT of people. Ban guns, all of them. Hold a gun moritorium, anybody thereafter who is not police/military seen wielding a gun should be shot on sight by the police/military (in self defence of course). And Canadians.

Wasn't really considering posting anything on 440 on this to be honest, but the bullshit CNN/BBC/media interviews with pro/anti-gun 'experts' has been driving me mad. Jeremy Paxman wouldn't put up with this shit.

I'm still trying to find out how it is that a 6 year old girl was attending a midnight movie with her 13 year old babysitter. What were the parents thinking? And isn't admission to the movie in question restricted?
Another point: Clinton banned assault rifles, the ban expired, Obama doesn't have the balls to stand up and be counted, and yoyo Romney is too busy sorting his money data out. How much is too much?
It's one thing having a gun for self-defence, but no-one questions a guy buying an assault rifle/ two Glocks/etc? Is he expecting Godzilla?
Everyone jokes that anything is for sale in Cambodia, but it seems the gun manufacturers/ dealers in the US are kings of the castle.
