It should be.
The idea of stonings, amputations and all the other lovely dramatics is totally alien to the nature of the vast majority of Bruneian people.
My read on it is that the Big Cheese wants to get some brownie points with the Big "A" before he croaks.
Do you know the day it is to be introduced on?

The Chinese control the majority of businesses.....without them Brunei is screwed.....the oil companies are all expat run and again without them Brunei is screwed.....all schools have fully qualified Western teachers who lead the English departments......the university in Brunei has stopped training English teachers so who will fill that gap? .......most of the engineers, architects, planners I know are expat....
I really do think it's all a big charade to put the local Muslims in line.....not that they ever seemed to be me getting too out of it at any stage.
If i'm wrong then i'll just have to pack up my things....along with all my other mates....and head off once again into the SEA sunset..
