2015 Rugby World Cup
2015 Rugby World Cup
So the 2015 Rugby World Cup kicks off tomorrow at last - for those rugby fanatics such as myself.
What are your predictions for this? Can the All Blacks win back to back and perhaps more importantly away from home or will they choke again?
Who are the dark horses to watch out for - the Irish? Wales maybe?
Will Australia make it out of the pool of death?
Can a smaller nation like Samoa or Tonga upset one of the big boys?
Will the English capture the heart of a nation and repeat 2003.
Appreciate that many don't care but the next month and a bit should provide some great rugby. I do recall clearly a very nervous last 40 minutes of the last world cup final in Score Bar which was packed with French supporters (and leaving very quickly after the final whistle was blown). ......

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did–in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.

Ah yes, I was at the shitty Irish Pub on Sisovath...... What a crap game that was.
As usual, my money is on the All Blacks.

Fiji will beat England first up and I think Argentina will give the ABs a go for their money too, catching them on the hop...the Argies play with so much passion (probably my fave team after the ABs). Maybe a France - AB final again? ...those French are tricky devils.

The cheese-eating surrender monkeys can beat any team on a good day. However, they also do self-destruct very well.

We all know that the All Blacks are fhe greatest rugby team in the world, their results in the world cup have little bearing on that reputation
I'm not a negative person, I encourage people all the time...it's usually to f**k off! But, whatever.

I reckon it's England's Cup this time.

The Irish haven't got a prayer. English aren't much better.
If any euro team will win it will be the Welsh halfwits.
All Blacks definite favourites.

There seems to be more Irish Halfwits references on Google than Welsh Halfwits
Irish Halfwits references about 404,000 results
Welsh Halfwits About 358,000 results
but the best results is
English Halwits 68,300 results
Of course this means nothing

Lol!
Think I'm getting old and cynical; would have been all amped up about the Irish chances a few years ago.
I watched all the warm up games this time, not impressed with any euro teams really.

Looks to me like the English have found something they haven't had for a while in the back line with Jonny May (gawd he's annoying though) and they always play above their station at home. Always pull for the ABs, but agree they have a major choke tendency in the World Cup when abroad. Looking forward to some great rugby.
How do the resident Aussies feel about their chances?

i think the aussies have got a great chance,my top picks are aussies, kiwis and than england.but aussies will win:)
Heart says wannabies will do ok but fall in the semi finals.
Wales losing Halfpenny is a massive blow, and doubt they will get through.
France always a chance, but depends which of their split personalities they bring to the table at the knockout stages.
Dark horse - Ireland!
England on home turf will be hard to beat - although now that Matt Dawson has stoked the fire under the ABs - they will be pretty relentless!
