No, not our very own Lucky Lucan, but the eponymous Lord Lucan, who is set to be declared officially dead this week, 41 years after he disappeared following the death of nanny Sandra Rivett.

Jesus. You almost gave me a heart attack. I thought from the heading it was our Lucan.scobienz wrote:No, not our very own Lucky Lucan, but the eponymous Lord Lucan, who is set to be declared officially dead this week, 41 years after he disappeared following the death of nanny Sandra Rivett.

Quite relieved though
Nothing but an opinionated tourist. The Pope spends more time in countries than I do ! It is also not my place to comment on a gentleman's dress. A real 23 minute wonder, that obviously knows little about ovens and cooking in Cambodia.
I almost fell for it but I remember the news about Lord Lucan's son proceeding to have his father declared dead.
Still, my heart skipped a beat and it makes me want to punch Scobie in the gut.

Like the man said. I was not happy to find out what I thought was bad news was just a cheap gag. It's so not cool to use a similarity in names to lead us to believe our esteemed member Lucky Lucan has met his demise. This is tasteless and will cascade for days as members catch up and very likely react the same, though LL might laugh it off. Please rewrite the headline so as not to mislead.Walter White wrote:Don't F***ING do that! Goddamit!

Of course it leaves our L Lucan a great opportunity to quote Twain

I was going to say that posting in Not Cambodia was a big enough clue but i think many posters don't view the forum that way. Using Recent Posts (or whatever it is) puts everything in one pot, so my heart would have skipped a beat too.

Not being critical but a simple RIP LORD Lucan, would have done it but only if clarity was the intent, lolviolet wrote:I was going to say that posting in Not Cambodia was a big enough clue but i think many posters don't view the forum that way.
