Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson told graduates during a commencement address in the late ’90s that he believed the pyramids in Egypt were built by the biblical figure Joseph to store grain, and not, as most archeologists contend, as tombs for pharaohs. ... “My own personal theory is that Joseph built the pyramids to store grain,” Carson said. “And when you look at the way that the pyramids are made, with many chambers that are hermetically sealed, they’d have to be that way for various reasons. And various of scientists have said, ‘Well, you know there were alien beings that came down and they have special knowledge and that’s how—’ you know, it doesn’t require an alien being when God is with you.”

Ben Carson is a little crazy
I won't go so far as to call him bat shit crazy, but by the time we reach the Iowa caucus I think he'll have said enough to reach that point.

He's a nutter. Rubio's by far the best candidate they have. He's just a little inexperienced and sweaty. I'd love to see a Rubio-Giuliani ticket.

Fucking scary when you need Sarah Palin to restore some confidence, order and common sense, to the GOP presidential campaign.
My posts are just jokes, maybe they're rude, offensive, and politically incorrect. They're not my opinion, viewpoint, idea, or judgement, but they're just fucking jokes so lighten up.

I have yet to see anyone (currently running) on either side who would get my vote. [youtube][/youtubehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qyZ5qgIABUc]
Freedom is not a state. It is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau.. Freedom is a continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.-John Lewis

I think you're wrong, he is bat-shit-crazy ! He just speaks in low modulated tones so he doesn't appear completely insane. That he's in the lead shows how little attention the public pays the candidates this early. Here's a few of his most inane: http://www.salon.com/2015/09/30/the_7_m ... id_partner

He's just trying to out-Trump the Trump.
He became a factor after saying what everyone is truly thinking about Muslims;

Basically, he and Trump are breaking the politically correct status quo that most Americans are sick of. He's saying what's on his mind whenever he likes as opposed to Jeb who has a carefully manicured and fake media image like every other Bush before him. Hillary's whole campaign is about political correctness of electing their first female president. I haven't heard her say a single thing about the economy that isn't a slogan and her record as secretary of state was appalling; failing in Libya and Syria, allowing relations with Russia and China to fall apart, and cooling of the relationship with Israel.

Just when you think the current US election circus can't get any more silly, the new contoversy is that Dr. Ben Carson wrote a book years ago about his rise from dirt-poor kid to leading brain surgeon, including passages about his tendancy towards outburst of violence as a teenager. Among his claims in the book is that he went at his own mother with a hammer and also tried to stab a young relative. The media is now claiming those alleged incidents never happened and Carson is insisting in interviews they did happen.
A US presidental candidate, leading in some polls, is under fire for possibly NOT attempting to stab someone, which he insists he did.

Yea, the whole violent history thing is just absurd. He talks about it all the time, and then how he found God and was saved; but then the media asks him if he can verify it and he gets all defensive and says they're attacking him unjustly.
And the other news is that he claimed to have turned down a full scholarship from West Point. Two funny things about this: 1) there are no "scholarships" to West Point, it is 'free' for anyone that attends, and then they have an obligation to stay in the army for a number of years. 2) Not only was he not accepted, but I don't think he even went through the application process (which is rigorous of course)!
He also endorsed some bogus drug in a paid commercial sometime, and I'm pretty sure his religious views are that the end of the world is near. It's all a little much.
