I'm happy that British taxpayer's money isn't been thrown into this bottomless pit of an unsolvable problem. For those that disagree, I'm sure that there are plenty of NGOs working with refugees that would be willing to take their money.

Hang on. America admitted 2,290 Syrian refugees between 2011 and November 2015. You're using an individual in the country as an example against a country dragging its heels with 3,000. 3,000 is 710 more than America as a country admitted for several years, forget the old ladies helping one.Fred Edwards wrote:If only they were more people like this kind American who has opened her home to a vulnerable 16 year old refugee . Source: "Of the 4.2 million Syrians displaced since that country’s civil war began in 2011, America has taken in 2,290—or 0.0005 percent of the total." http://time.com/4126371/these-5-facts-e ... -refugees/

Isn't it about time Britain dumped its metric system in favour for something better?
