An Iraqi colleague of mine in Russia told me of how the profecies predicted that Baghdad would first become great, then slowly decline and then be completely destroyed. Dunno how much truth there is in that but she was a great lady and I have no reason to doubt her.

...bringing the total dead from Daesh bomb attacks up to about 450 since the end of February in 8 different incidents.

I think I heard on a news show that over 1000 people were killed in Iraq in June. In 'sectarian' attacks and other such madness.

It ain't gonna happen. The only reason people put France on their Facebook statuses was because they have some affection for the place. Unfortunately the Iraqi flag with it's "Allahu akbar" in Arabic script doesn't really evoke the same sentiments. I wonder why that could be?
