Shocked this is getting more attention than the Philippines president giving police special permission to execute people they 'think' are drug dealers.

Don't be such an naive dingus. There exists such a thing as 'orgy-etiquette'. Biggest dick goes first to soften the blow of proceeding dicks. Mr. Duterte is doing just fine.

I may slowly go over to the dark side of not fully supporting the death penalty sometime.
In the meantime, I have a question.
I'm assuming the outcry is based on 2 things: 1) the idea that the death penalty is wrong, and 2) the idea that the judicial system is dodgy, and innocent/vulnerable people die
As a current non-objector to the death penalty, I'll stick with the second objection, the dodgy judicial system aspect.
Every time pushers get executed in Indonesia, we see the same reaction and anger. Yet in many middle-eastern countries, the US, UK, other NATO countries and Israel kill people with drones or military hardware. Most of these people never have any semblance of a trial. If there is proof, try them and sentence them.
There is no attempt to even pretend that any judicial system exists, let alone that it was followed.
But not a mention, no outrage, nada.
Several of the drug runners/ pushers have admitted that they were /are guilty. This has seldom, if ever happened with collateral damage victims.
I'd understand it if people who bemoaned Indonesia's system also talked about that occasionally on here...but nothing.
Why?
Just asking.

ירי ילדים והפצצת אזרחים דורש אומץ, כמו גם הטרדה מינית של עובדי ההוראה.

There is a pretty harrowing account of the executions here:

I saw that bloke on TV last year just after the executions of the Bali 9 duo (kinda has a ring to it, no?) and he appears to be responsible for consoling condemned inmates of the Catholic faith and would appear to be stationed, possibly permanently, near the island. Last year he was charged with giving pre-death guidance to the Colombian(?) fella who had schizophrenia who, after mentoring, didn't seem to realize his time was up until the last minute. Given the condemnation that the father had given the last set of executions I'm quite surprised that he was invited back again.alanclarke72 wrote:There is a pretty harrowing account of the executions here:
