War crimes in Mosul
Video footage has emerged of Iraqi soldiers rounding up, torturing and executing IS sympathizers. Not sure why these idiots insist on creating evidence for the Hague.

There are no good guys, only the side you chose to be on.

Semantically, I don't think there is any such thing as a 'War Crime'. There is only 'Crime'.

There is no hunting like the hunting of man, and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never care for anything else thereafter.

When regarding the war on ISIL the "rebels" in Syria are the good guys so long as they're fighting the government who are the bad guys. The "rebels" enjoy US tax payer funded weaponry. Now; when the government fight ISIL they're broadly called "Peshmerga & Allies". If the government wins battles it means that whatever area they re-occupy has "fallen".Gin&Tonic wrote:Which ones are the good guys again?

In Iraq the government are the good guys and ISIL are the baddies. They're allowed to bomb densely populated city areas without criticism because they're the good guys & have even cooler toys than their Syrian Neighbors.
Welcome to the Middle East, have a nice day!

The honourable and brave would have prevented this happening, if they had not been slaughtered already.

It's a lot more complicated than that, there are loads of different militias operating who are pro/anti Iraqi government forces when it suits them. They all have their own agendas and the way they "mop up" any territory they gain will reflect that. Looks a bit hairy around there, emotions will be running high.

Who is missing.? (about 4 or 5 generations of a select cast of people.)
If you are willing to kill another human, for what you believe is a good reason.
Soldiers, that’s who is missing.
Wasted on mineral exploration and or political augmentation.
The previous 20 years or so would not have transpired without such a cull.
It's a bit like living without an immune system...

I find is hilarious how liberals cry that Muslims hate America because Trump, but then can't fathom why comparing one of the few Muslim allies to ISIS and defaulting to ultra leftist moral relativism - "our allies are just as baaaaaaad" - would just alienate any Muslims who feel like aligning with the USA.
Obama, in all his wisdom, basically handed over Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood and alienated all the secular Egyptian Arabs, who were barely able to seize power back from the fanatics via an army coup.

Which is why I wouldn't trust leftists as far as I could through them. Ideology trumps all for them, even friendships and alliances.Unlike the Republican party, the Democratic party has shown a rather negative attitude towards the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi, describing the 30 June uprising as a military coup.
