There's a very well written story in The Atlantic this month that's making the FB/Twitter rounds. It's written by a Filipino-American writer who just passed away shortly after submitting the story to the magazine. It's a confession of sorts about his family's secret - they had an unpaid Filipina servant/slave working for them in the USA for 50+ years. Anyway, I recommend the article, it's a very interesting story.

It's a fascinating story. I started to read it this morning thinking it was a short article. Had to stop and go make myself a coffee when I realised how long and engaging it was.

I saw that story earlier and skipped over it as I thought it was just one of those negroid slaves that were common in the US till the mid-60s.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
