If sexual misconduct is rife with these law makers just think how much payment for favors must be going on.
"I don't care what the people are thinking, i ain't drunk i'm just drinking"
These allegations shouldn't surprise anyone, lots of people in a position of power and/or have money wield it over others. It doesn't matter what country, sex, or what level, the strong take advantage of the weak.
That makes most of us from the first world having 'relationships' with khmer women guilty also.Gardiguy wrote:These allegations shouldn't surprise anyone, lots of people in a position of power and/or have money wield it over others. Trump is a genius!
Of course no one mentions Alabama went blue for the first time in 25 years after 45 and the GOP threw their support behind a child molester.

of course not, because we all knew you would.
Why Richard, it profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world... but for Wales?
Not a household name outside the US, but the public TV network PBS pulled The Tavis Smiley Show (an interview show practically identical to the Charlie Rose Show they pulled a few weeks ago). He laments being "guilty by accusation". I guess that is only okay when it is Republicans. The lefty media are losing more of their heroes. They thought it would stop at O'Reilly and Ailes at Fox? Seems ol' Tavis was bonking the bejeezus out of his female subordinates for ages.
Come on, ladies. There have GOT to be some Barrack Obama sexual misconduct stories out there. Let's have 'em.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/18/entertain ... index.html(CNN)Tavis Smiley, who was recently called out by PBS over "troubling allegations" about his conduct, staunchly defended his behavior and his integrity Monday and upbraided the network that suspended the distribution of his show.
"I have never groped. I have never coerced or exposed myself to anyone inappropriately," he told ABC's "Good Morning America" in an exclusive interview.
"I celebrate and applaud the women that came out and told the truth and lead us to create healthy workspaces. At the same time, I want to make sure we don't lose all proportionality in this because if we do, people end up guilty by accusation."
Smiley, 53, is a longtime radio commentator, TV talk show host and author. His 30-minute interview show, "Tavis Smiley," has aired weeknights on PBS since 2004. He is now one of a growing list of public figures facing misconduct allegations.

You mean, a bit like those many molested women and the infamous grab'em by the pussy tape that have been symptomatic of the current US presidency , the one who gave his support to a child molester before flipping again ?Come on, ladies. Cambodians must be laughing right now. The concubine system may disrupt families, but I doubt if it disturbs politics (much). A concubine is a concubine. Professional, too.
All staffers to be replaced with nice young, straight men, now. Metros are fine. Maybe the occasional professional gay. Or maybe female staffers must now sign waivers, establishing clear guidelines.
Ok, straight men sometimes invite women by touching them. To me, it seems cold to not touch someone you're talking too.
These guys get lucky, too. For every one complaint, aren't there 10 or more girls that liked being with a successful man? Is it any wonder they prospect a few that don't want it? Chilling to male-female relationships.
These young women just can't keep their paws off of successful men! Or establish boundaries? Take a stand?
Old boys system looks better now, maybe a return. More loyalty, no rejection or whatever.
I normally support women's rights, but this 20-years later backstabbing/rejection seems bogus.

Mongol General: What is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.
Mongol General: That is good!

Exactly like that. If we are going to expose who people really are, let's do it across the board. No one gets a free pass. And so far most have gotten a free pass. Let all the accusations come out.logos wrote:You mean, a bit like those many molested women and the infamous grab'em by the pussy tape that have been symptomatic of the current US presidency , the one who gave his support to a child molester before flipping again ?Come on, ladies. Not-so-widely known bit part actor and comedian Aziz Ansari was shamed, after the fact, by an anonymous date using the pseudonym Grace, who accused him of some vague inappropriate behavior on Twitter with the MeToo hashtag.
The "victim" Grace realized some time soon after that the oral sex they mutually provided each other (twice?) at his house wasn't as consensual as it appeared at the time and then blasted him on Twitter.
Several women have publicly come forward in defense of Aziz in this case. But at least one defender seems to give him a pass solely because of his race (from cnn.com):
Good thing you aren't a white guy, Aziz. If you were your career would be over. But lucky you get to stay on TV and keep getting blowjobs, you zany Indian-American. But keep in mind all your blowjobs are open to public review and comment.

Lucia Brawley wrote:Some of my female friends argue that Ansari had all the power in this scenario, that as a wealthy male celebrity he is a beneficiary of the patriarchy's privilege. But Ansari's position is more complicated than that -- he is no shoo-in with the American patriarchy.
As a man of color, he has overcome decades of racism to pave a way for leading men of South Asian descent in American entertainment.

The Aziz Ansari story is kind of a mess, including the reporting done on it, and what he's actually accused of. I think he's getting a little bit of a pass on it because of what he actually did, "made a girl feel uncomfortable" after a date. But, I don't know all the details.
I'd rather the Hollywood elite finally address Woody Allen. That guy is a freaking creep. Accused by one step-daughter of assault at the age of seven, and then the guy married his other step daughter! WTF.
"The 32-year-old has repeatedly accused Allen of molesting her when she was seven - claims the director has always denied."
The BBC is going to air an emotional interview with her today. Should be interesting if there's any fallout or not. What's also interesting, and it kind of comes full circle, is that "it was a devastating expose of alleged rape, assault and harassment published by Farrow’s brother, Ronan, the biological son of Allen and Mia Farrow, in The New Yorker last October that helped end Weinstein’s career."
